Try article submission too...

Comment on How to get listed in Web Directories

Comment by malcolm cook ( http://nationalvacuumcleanerservices.co.uk )

I have just created a very basic and
"first time" web site.the information i have found here is very useful--thanks.

Comment on How to get listed in Web Directories

Comment by ahsan ( )

I am totally new to all this deep seo world, but you are a big help thank you very much.

Comment on How to get listed in Web Directories

Comment by Peter ( http://www.vipsplace.com )

I think there are more important Directories, not only DMOZ and Yahoo. But you have to check the links. Try to use the Directories that give static Links outside.

Comment on How to get listed in Web Directories

Comment by press release ( http://www.pressedge.com/ )

There is a strong gossip that the relevance DMOZ clones (and even the original) will be reduced to zero in Google. IF this truly happens, other SEs are likely to follow suit- that will mean cleaner Search engine results.

Comment on How to get listed in Web Directories

Comment by tony scott ( http://www.beatyourprice.com )

I hear it takes two years before you get reivew by dmoz.. I wish dmoz would charged like yahoo directory.

Comment on How to get listed in Web Directories

Comment by vortex ( http://www.geocities.com/site_vortex/ )

"..all of those DMOZ Clones will be deleted by google soon. I think they´d like to clean up their index..."

I wouldn't blame Google for romoving DMOZ clone directories, especially at a time when unique and sought after "content" weighs heavily in Google ranking. Although, I still think it can't hurt to submit to all valid free seo-friendly directories for backlinks. Plus any traffic they receive always helps.

Comment on How to get listed in Web Directories

Comment by PageCurve ( http://pagecurve.com )

hmm, intresting article. This multiplies the number of inbound links for any site listed in DMOZ."

all of those DMOZ Clones will be deleted by google soon. I think they´d like to clean up their index...
p.s.: maybe yahoo should think about it too ;)
